Our family of four had an amazing time! We rented the heated 6-seat Ranger for the four-hour ride. At 9000+ feet and 20-something degree weather, springing for the heated option was a smart choice. It kept us plenty warm while in the cabin. As for the ride length, we're glad we chose the four-hour ride (it's a better value compared to the two-hour ride), although three hours was probably the sweet spot for us. We originally opted for the self-guided tour, but due to the heavy snow we had to travel with a guide. This turned out to be a blessing because our guide, Jason, was fantastic. He kindly showed us the great lookout spots, took pictures of us, and just overall made us a lot more comfortable driving through the heavy snow and less-beaten paths. Looking back, we would have been nervous forging those paths alone, and the GPS doesn't substitute for following someone out in the wilderness. We will only choose guided tours from now on! A consideration for families with young childr...

We took a Polaris Ranger out in the snow and had an amazing (if sometimes white knuckled) time. Our group ranged from ages 7 to 67 (4 adults and 2 kids). We all fit comfortably in the Ranger. There were several large puddles that sprayed mud all over the windshield, which the kids loved. Our guide was very friendly and helpful, and offered to take pictures. We all fell in love with the poodle mix who went around greeting guests as if he was just delighted to see us. The hot cocoa was a nice touch too. We hope to come back when the weather is more cooperative and we can see Pike's Peak:)
